I started coding again!

Posted by Vencitors - 3 hours ago

I was an Animation student and with that degree back in 2019-2021 it was like 50% Animating and 50% coding. I've always wanted to code ever since due to my love of gaming and I've dreamed of making my own one day —but javascript made me want to rip my eyeballs out and pull strands of my hair every single time and with that I've realized that It's never going to happen and so I pursued a different career path but still on the line of art.

I'm proud to say I've started coding again...from the very start.

Sure concepts and shit was familiar but I've not coded ever since I graduated that in high school, the academic art scenery had burnt me out so much in the creative field (and going through insane amount of dubious self reflection) that now that I'm about to be entering my 4th year (i hope) I've taken some time off to detox from the academic and social stress, and I'm really happy that I've started to study/practice coding C#. I could go so far as to say the future looks bright, I understand why passion is needed for some things now and spite isn't an optimal main source of it.

I'm planning to release two or three kinds of games, one of them is both mobile and on the pc. the others are just purely on PC but I'm really excited! I've gotten the art thing down, only thing left is coding ;DD In the meantime, have a WIP Sprite from one of the characters in my magnum opus! (Oh yeah the games aren't the final final ones yet, but yk what this is the drive ig)

Additionally, I'm releasing these games here on newgrounds! I've been on newgrounds ever since I was around 6 or 7 playing games since I found out about it through my uncle, I'm old enough right now to instil that kind of inspiration I had as a kid!
